Artist statement, 2021:
"Double Shadow and Night Star are two images I really like as they contribute more to emotional responses to place. They are more recent wood engravings than the Hand series (2000-2001). The hand series were contributing to a top floor solo exhibition at Perc Tucker Regional Gallery, New Horizons in 2000 - 2001. They use the body and were produced around the times I married Cleve McGuane so they include love stories as well. I still use the surname Lord for art purposes."
