Sarah Ind is a bookmaker practising in regional Victoria with over 15 years exhibiting experience. Of the work Ind writes, “Navigating border closures and the shifting lines of border zones whilst living in one state and working in another has led to much reflection on the uncertain states we live in. Inspired by Precious Promise boxes and the infinite scroll of social media, Heavenly States is a handwritten antidote to discord, disruption and digital doomscrolling. It is an attempt to notice, record and dwell on the things that are still good in the world or will be good in a world to come.” Sarah Ind 2022.

'Heavenly states' was awarded the Highly Commended (acquisitive), Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal National Artists’ Book Award, in the 2022 Libris Awards. The 2022 awards were judged by Adele Outteridge and Brian Robinson.
